Alexander–Great or Not?
After studying the two sources, respond to the question below for each source.
How can this source be used to support the argument that Alexander was great?
Source A:
Map of Alexander’s Empire
He conquered Macedonia all the way to India and conquered
Egypt as well; some major battles of his were Granicus,
Damascus, and Hydapses.
Source B:
Alexander by the Numbers
Alexander had an empire of 2,000,000 miles and 70 cities. It
took him 11 years to build his empire and lasted 10 more years
after his death.
Write a paragraph of at least five sentences that answers the following question.
Should Alexander be considered great?
Your paragraph should provide evidence from both sources as well as the content from the
lesson that supports your conclusion.
I think Alexander should be remembered as great because, He worked hard for years to build
his empire. He had a 2,000,000 mile empire and it had 70 cities. It also lasted a decade after his
death and he went through some hard battles such as Granicus, Damascus, and Hydapses.
