Framework design thinking picture:
1.FrameworkDesign thinking is a way of human thinking and the idea to solve problems and createinnovative ideas. It can refer as method for addressing organization problems from user’smindset. This process consists of 5 steps which are empathize, define, ideate, prototype andtest. There are many types of design thinking that can be used such as:a) 5-stage design process by d.schoolb) 7-step early traditional design process by Herbert Simonc) Head, Heart and Hand by the American Institution of Graphic Arts (AIGA)d) The 5-Stage DeepDive™ by IDEO2.Define Requirements for the Digital Systema)User needs: point out the needs and goals for both parties’ consultants and clients.
b)User personas: Construct design decision based on detailed profiles of typical users.c)User Interviews: recognize client needs, problems, attitudes and action.d)User Observations: recognize how client act in real life.3.Choose a Suitable Technology PlatformWeb-based software tool: Most of design thinking based on web-based software rather thanstand-alone tool. It provides template design thinking that you can edited and reused forclient and consultant. User can easily identify their challenges and problem that affectedclient’s daily work.
Each steps have their own tools for design thinking:a) Empathize: Respondent.iob) Define: Smaplyc) Ideate: SessionLab Libraryd) Prototype: Boordse) Test: UserTestingFor complete step tools for design thinking: SessionLab4.Digital tools and featuresa) Efficient workflow: the system can automatically key in repetitive task that save client andconsultant time. Then, client can handle multiple tasks and deadlines successfully. It alsoimproves client efficient and productive workflows.b) Powerful design thinking tools: prepare pre-built templates for client that suitable withtheir workflows. Consultants must give variety types of tools for each steps design thinkingtool if client need specific step in design thinking. Consultants easy to identify more deeplyabout client data.c) Intuitive interaction: provide guidance for new user on how to use the tool correctly andclearly. The interface of tool must be friendly so that is easy to use for new user. Goodinterface can increase user experiences and make work easier when use it.d) Visual clarity: make sure use minimalist and clean design for tool. The design should havesame colour palette, typography and iconography. It can make the tools more look clean andneat.e) Feedback mechanism: show client progress by giving listed record that client can trackdown their problem and decision to solve. The existing chatbot in tools can help client in 24hours if consultant is notavailable.
5.User Experience and Interface Design (UI/UX)The goal of Design Thinking is to give a disciplined, human-centred approach to tackledifficult problems, particularly those that require understanding and meeting user demands. Its goal is to generate creative solutions through empathy, creativity, and persistence.User Experience (UX): (UX) design is first analysing users' needs, behaviours, and pain areas, and then developing solutions to make their contact with the product as smooth and enjoyableas possible. It concentrates on the overall feel and utility of the product.User Interface (UI): (UI) design refers to the visual and interactive components of a product. It involves creating buttons, menus, icons, colours, typography, and layout to ensure that theproduct is not only functional but also visually appealing and simple to use.Sample output: Design Thinking Tool Purpose: addressing organization problems from user’s mindsetUsage: 1.Empathize: know the needs of designing for user.2.Define: identify the roots of problems and needs.3.Ideate: create excellent ideas to solve the problem.4.Prototype: build tangible products based on solution.5.Test: test the product or prototype with user. SessionLab example: a company uses the SessionLab Design Thinking template to identifytheir problem. As they enter data into the system the user can easily detect the probleminstantly and solve the problem right away. Consultants can immediately start working onsolution for problem that recommend for their client.
