If you were an advisor at a global summit on alternative energy, which source of energy would you recommend countries invest more money in? Make a case for why it is the best choice in 3-5 paragraphs below. Include the following in your answer:●Which alternative source you would recommend●Why you think it is a good choice for investment●Why it is a better choice than the other options for alternative energy(20 points)If I was an advisor at a global summit on alternative energy, I would recommend countries invest in solar energy. First, solar energy is clean, producing energy without any expense or cost to nature. This is in comparison to fossil fuels that release nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere, which contribute to smog and acid rain formation.Second, the cost of implementing solar energy is less than other energy sources such as wind turbines for hydro generators. Solar energy is also cheaper than most fossil fuels, as the cheapest option for fossil fuels is natural gas which costs between 4.2 and 7.8 cents per kWh, while solar energy costs 4.3 cents per kWh. Due to its low cost, it is also more economically profitable.Lastly, solar energy is a renewable energy source due to the sun being an inexhaustible source. The sun being the source allows solar energy to be implemented anywhere in the world, as long as it has sunlight. In addition to this, the useful life of photovoltaic panels is 20 years, a fairly long time with respect to the amount of energy generated.
All in all, if I was an advisor at a global summit on alternative energy, I would recommend countries invest in solar energy. Solar energy is cheaper, easier to set up, renewable, long-lasting, and kind to the environment.
