Welcome to our Master's in Social Work program! As we embark on this journey of connection within our virtual learning space, let's take a moment to familiarize ourselves with the online environment by exploring the course site together. Click on the help icon in your Halo classroom. The help icon is a question mark (?) and is located in the upper right-hand corner of your dashboard. Click on the icon and view the help articles in the GCU Help Center. Find an article or video that provides insights into the essential elements of the online classroom.Share a brief summary of the resource you selected and how it illuminates the tools, structure, or layout of this digital learning environment.Discuss how this understanding will be particularly advantageous for you as a graduate student pursuing a Master's in Social Work, highlighting the distinctions from your experiences as an undergraduate.Your DQ response must be 150-200 words.The resource article I selected from the GCU Help Center is (Halo | Learn) Classroom Materials. It demonstrates the structure and layout of the online learning environment. The topic materials required for courses are going to be available within the Classroom Materials section (Grand Canyon University, 2021). When clicking on the topic it will haveall the assessments opened to have all the information expanded. However, I believe it will be helpful to use the Collapse All button, found in the right corner and expand the specific assessment I will currently be working on. The resources needed for specific topics will be shown on the right side, which is accessible when completing assignment. I find this to be more helpful because it is the resources that will help you complete the assignment correctly. Understanding how to navigate and access the classroom material is advantageous as a graduate student, as it provides all the resources you need for your courses as well as getting all the information needed for each assignment. My undergraduate experience at another university was on campus, and although all materials for the classes were available it was not organized as this graduate program has it.Grand Canyon University.
