Intertek Insulating Coatings Corp Date: December 18, 2012 Project No. 100978606MID-001 Page 3 of 10 2 Introduction Intertek Testing Services NA (Intertek) Fire Testing Laboratory in Middleton, Wisconsin conducted an investigation of the external fire resistance characteristics of Insulating Coatings Corp’s B.U.R. roofing system, for class “A” application. This system is intended for installation over a non-combustible roof, therefore only the Spread of Flames tests were conducted. The samples were received at the laboratory December 3, 2012 in good condition. The tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM E108 (2010) “Standard Test Methods for Fire Tests of Roof Coverings” and UL 790 (2004). 3 Test Samples The plywood decks were constructed by Intertek technicians according to the specifications of test standard ASTM E108 (2010) “Standard Test Methods for Fire Tests of Roof Coverings”. 1. The test material was submitted by the client. 2. The test material was applied by Intertek technicians. The samples are described in more detail in the table below. Deck# Deck Type Deck System Material 1 Spread of Flames 15/32" 2" GP Dens Deck. A-C Plywood | Astec 2000 Base Coat at 1 gallons per 100 square feet. (24 Hr. cure.) Astec 2000 Base Coat at 3/4 gallons per 100 square feet over a polyester cloth. (No cure time). Astec 2000 Base Coat at 3/4 gallons per 100 square feet. (24 Hr. cure) Astec 2000 Finish Coat at 3/4 gallons per 100 square feet. (3 Hr. cure) Astec 2000 Finish Coat at 3/4 gallons per 100 square feet.
