This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to manage sites that have
an active operational emergency for diseases or pests.
The unit applies to individuals who have been appointed or engaged to undertake a
management role within an emergency disease or pest incursion response and who analyse
information and exercise judgement to complete a range of advanced skilled activities
demonstrating a deep knowledge in biosecurity. They have accountability for the work of
others and analyse, design and communicate solutions to a range of complex problems.

publication.
