Globally, over 1.2 billion children are out of the classroom. Activity-4 Directions: “Human Needs”Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Basic Needs suggested that humans had five basic categories. Maslow organized these needs into a hierarchy because he felt that a man needs to satisfy his “lower” needs before he moved onto his “higher” needs. He called the lower needs “prepotent” upon the higher ones. Thus, if you wanted to “self-actualize,” you first had to meet all, or most, of your previous basic needs.
