Within project development, agile methodologies are used in every process that is done iteratively with the hands-on interaction and collaboration of a team. Using agile project developments is beneficial because it fosters teamwork and produces a product in the end that is efficient, correct, up-to-date, and high-quality. Additionally, agile project development benefits the practices, work-ethic, and quality of work done by members of the development team. Communication is a major factor in implementing agile methodologies within a project development process that can create openness and transparency in a scrum team. There are different forms of communication that members within a development team can use to communicate effectively with one another. Some of these options include daily scrum meetings, online chats, phone or video conferences, face-to-face meetings, and emails. All these options are great to use as a form of communication amongst others in the team, however, the best practice are daily scrum meetings or other forms of face-to-face communication. I think this method is the best because face-to-face meetings are more interactive, open for discussion amongst team members, and encourage team members to get to know who is apart of the development team, physically instead of behind computer screens or phones. Additionally, having daily scrum meetings with the entire team can help everyone in the team establish their worth within the team. Ultimately, a lot can get lost in technological communication and, though it is an effective way to communicate, in using agile methods to manage your team and the project, face-to-face communication might be a better way to go. The tool that I think would help increase efficiency within the scrum team would be JIRA, which has the capability to track the progress of any given project a team may be working on and lets the team know what tasks have been completed already and what still needs to be completed. Additionally, the JIRA tool can also inform the team of any bugs in the development

of the project. JIRA creates a more coordinated and efficient team because a lot of what needs to be communicated between team members is on single platform that those members have access to and can see. Meaning, communication, which is a big factor in agile project development, is improved through the use of this tool and made easier.
