Thanks to the rapid growth the company has had the management has decided to look into the issue of attrition to see if there is any connection between “a lack of direct engagement and job satisfaction.” Seeing this, the main variable we will be looking at is attrition, and how the other variables relate to it. Before we can start this process we will need to merge the 15 files that contain our needed information. Our files have 7040 rows and 36 columns. They will all need to be processed beforewe begin analyzing. We found that the way gender was labeled between the files was different. Some files had gender labeled Male/Female while others were M/F. Some files also had unneeded information that needed to be filtered before we could assess it. We would also need toalter some of the variable types into a numeric type from their original categorical type. Some columns will need to be removed to speed up the processing time. We will need to keep an eye out for any trends we see while monitoring this data. We should be able to see what the cause of these high rates is, and see what we can do to mitigate them.We will need to put together some sort of visual representation for all of our data. List and rows work well for some, but a chart or graph and spell out into information for everyone. A bar chart or a line chart would be a good comparing visual.
