Final Project Part 1 2Final Project Part 1For my final project, the ethical leader I selected to discuss is Former President Barack Obama. There has never been a perfect president, but Barack Obama did his best to uphold his ethical values and actions better than most presidents we have had in the past. Former President Barack Obama fought for the American people and fought for equal rights for all. Some positiveaccomplishments he made while in office include reducing the unemployment rate from 10% to 4.7%, provided health insurance for uninsured Americans, ended the war in Iraq, succeeded in the killing of Osama Bin Laden, marriage equality for LGBT, and reversed Bush-era torture policies. Other great achievements Former President Barack Obama succeeded in include lowing thehomeless veteran rate by 50%, increased Department of Veteran Affairs funding, improved nutrition in schools with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, signed the Hate Crimes Prevention Act, signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act for discrimination against women, won the Nobel Peace Prize for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples", expanded embryonic stem cell research to assist in spinal injury treatment andcancer, and launched My Brother’s Keeper, which is a White House initiative that helps young minorities achieve success. It is rare to find a politician that actually cares about the American people enough to make a difference, especially for the middle-class working Americans. Former President Barack Obama not only promised change and reform, but actually delivered policies, acts, and laws that helped to protect and benefit the working class for a better life. Even when he would give speeches, he spoke so eloquently and with such grace, and never disrespected or bashed any
