Ponder and ActInstructions: Read and completely respond to the prompt below.Return and Report1.Write a reflection paragraph of five-six sentences about the commitment that you were workingto implement this week. Some ideas of what to include in this paragraph include writing about successes you had in keeping the commitment you made for this week, key strategies and ideas we learned about this week, or where you have seen changes in your life due to building more emotional strength in the Lord. This week I was working to implement the commitment of responding to difficult situations with Christlike, productive responses. I learned that it is not easy for me to always have an immediate Christlike response, but with some conscious effort, I did notice a difference in my responses. I also had lots of success in not procrastinating things like scripture study or working out. President Nelson taught that happiness is found not in life’s circumstances but on our focus. I loved implementing this commitment because it helped me not dwell on the circumstances of life, but to focus on Christ.2.Write a commitment statement for next week about a strategy you learned this week or in a previous week that you will implement next week. Include an explanation of why you are choosing this commitment.Something we talked about this week is having healthy thinking patterns and recognizing triggers that we may not respond to with healthy thinking patterns. I realize that an unhealthy thinking pattern I often have is personalizing, especially when I try to make plans and other people cancel. For this reason, my commitment for this week will be to invite at least 2-3 different people to 2-3 different activities.1
