Unit 2 Assessment - Using Graphs to Describe Data Nakeisha N Smyles Herzing University MA320-7A Statistics ‘Professor Isaac Raymond. Unit 2 Assessment - Using Graphs to Describe Data Using the Heart Rate Dataset, I was able to produce a total of three graphs to display the variables of data. I used a histogram graph for the pre and post-exercise heart rates due to the data being continuous. Observing the pre and post histograms, I was able to distinguish within the data that there is 2 normal distribution in the center where most of the data recorded fits. On the x-axis of the bar graph features the heart rates being compared, whil the y-axis represents the tofal value of participants (Lile, 2020). On the edges, I found outside data that is either below or above the average findings. For most pre-exercise participants there were between 75.0-85.0 beats, while ‘many of the heart rates post exercise were between 85.0-95.0 beats. Also, going back to the Heart Rate Dataset, it is determined that there are 200 participants in total with 108 being male and 92 being female. The gender data is qualitative since there isnt any other math for it and a pie or bar chart can be used to show such. You can see which gender had more participants in the survey based on the percentages and colors. Even though the genders do not have an equal number of participants, the percentages of both genders still add up to 100% required for the pie chart and using the bar chart, you can see the difference by the heights of the bars reach to guess the amount of cach gender used in the study. It was also determined that majority of the data recorded came from male participants. 3 Exercise Heart Rate Study: Participants 50D 108; 54.00% Pre Excercise Heart Rate Study: Men and Women Combined o B B H £ - e . k4 ) =, _ _1 l n 0 G & OE Bw e e %t e ‘Heart Rate B Post-Excercise Heart Rate Study: Men and Women Combined £l © » T | - 8085 8530 9035 55-100100-105 105+ Number of Participanty ‘Heart Rate References Lile, S.
