Tahmina SakhidadiA legal professional’s personal and professional conduct on social media impacts the perception of the legal system, as they are seen to represent the justice system. This means they are held to higher standards of ethical behavior, whether in a courtroom or outside of the courtroom. Some key reasons that legal professionals are held to higher ethical standards are the impact on the legal system’s reputation and the ethical codes and regulations. The legal profession is held to a high ethical standard because professionals are critical in trusting the legalsystem. When evaluating my personal and professional ethical decisions regarding the legal system, I strive to act with honesty and integrity and ensure that my actions always align with themoral codes for paralegals—respecting confidentiality and avoiding conflicts of interest in my personal and professional life. I am always a rule follower. When it comes to adhering to the professional codes, I will not have any difficulties. When everyone adheres to ethical decision-making, the justice system will have integrity and fairness.
