31.0INTRODUCTIONThe system that I chose to cover for this individual assignment is Water Supply System. What is Water Supply System? Water Supply System a way of regulating water supply in an attempt to meet the needs of the population and prevent water deficits in a given place. The water supply system in Malaysia is managed by state-owned utility companies, with jurisdiction over raw water supply falling under the state governments. Each state has the responsibility to provide equal water quality and services to its residents. The building I chose is using an Indirect Water Supply System. In an indirect water supply system, the water is stored in a tank that located on the roof of the building. The tank is connected to a main supply pipe. The advantage of Indirect water supply is water quality, because water is stored in a tank, it can be treated and filtered before being supplied to each outlet, resulting in better water quality compared to direct water supply systems. Next is, water conservation, Indirect water supply systems are generally more efficient in terms of water usage. Besides that, disadvantages of this system are higher installation cost, higher maintenance requirements and lower water pressure.

42.0 DETAILS OF THE BUILDING1. Kitchen SinkKitchen sink water is directly from water meter by a service pipe. The pressure of water is different with another pipe in the building it is because this pipe is not using gravity like other pipe.

52. Water TankWater Cistern or Water Tank is the place where all the water from Water Meter is store. As you can see, the smaller pipes which is the distribution pipes are connected to separate the water to each individual outlet in the building. The volume of tank is 250 Gallon for a household. Inside of tank have Float Valve (Ballcock), the function of Float Valve is to controls the inflow of water into the tank. It operates similarly to the float mechanism in a toilet cistern. Next, The Overflow Pipe, this Acts as a safety feature to prevent water from overflowing the tank if the float valve fails.

63. Water MeterThe water meter are connect to Water Cistern and Kitchen Sink, The water meter is usually located at the point where the main water supply enters the property. This device measures the amount of water used by the household.
