This stage is like the initial orientation phase wherein the roles and responsibilities of the employees are defined.(Storming)Here, conflicts may arise when team members begin to express opinions and ideas. This is quite a natural phase where different personalities and working styles clash, and the team navigates through disagreements.(Norming)The conflicts are resolved, and the norms of a particular team begin to emerge: how they deal with individuals, how well the group functions, individual strengths and weaknesses, and the growth of trust.(Performing)This is the peak time for the team. Roles are clearly defined, processes are smooth, and the members work in cohesion for mutual benefit. The team is very productive, with high records of progress.(Adjourning & Transforming)
In this final stage, the team either completes its task or moves into a new phase or project.
