1.Choose a theoretical perspective (I.e., biological, psychological sociological)Biological theories tell us that human behavior are heredity and passed from parents to children. For example, physical health and genetics. Psychological theories focus on beliefs and mental health prognosis, perception and addictions. Sociological theories focus on how people’s lives are affected by society’s influence. For example, family, relationships, work and culture (Mental Health Foundation 2023). The theoretical perspective that I choose is the sociological theory.2.Give a one paragraph statement of your theory, what kinds of behavior it explains and how it is depicted through images. Be sure to use resources to support your answer. Sociological theory refers to the study of social life and changes that impact human behavior. This social theory has a social influence that causes someone to commit a crime. Social conditions trigger a person to commit crime depending on the type of environment they live in (Vaia 2024). Sociological theory explains multiple behaviors such as aggressive, cooperative, competitive, mutualistic, altruistic and parental. These behaviors are depicted through the pictures above because it shows how a group of teens are doing activities that would have a negative impact in their lives in the future. If you grow up in a neighborhood where people are doing drugs, drinking in brough day light and doing gambling activities, there is more chance for you to end up like those people. Research have shown that when you grow up in a neighborhood with common disadvantages, you are most likely to have a negative academic, behavioral and mental health outcome (American Psychological Association 2024). Kids and teenagers are mostly influenced by dangerous activities because they are convinced that it will make them

cool, and they will be accepted in certain groups. Some teenagers are pressured by their peers in doing activities like smoking, drinking, bullying, stealing and taking drugs. Parents that are in conflict usually argue and fight in front of their kids and they forget that kids are very attentive and awake. These are the types of behavior that can also cause a kid or teen to start doing dangerous activities. Overall, I think that the environment can have a big impact on a person’s life. Kids and teenagers are most likely to be influenced by others. ReferencesFactors that affect mental health. Mental Health Foundation.
