Is it based on something? No. Is this movie a must-see? A huge "NO". Similar movies like "American Ultra"? "Pineapple Express" and "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" are way better. Judgment time! It seems nobody liked "American Ultra". Critics mangled it, and judging from the box office, general public didn 't like it either. It 's easy to see why.
