Apollo 13's mission objective was to be the third mission to get to the Moon. Unfortunately, that didn't quite happen. Shortly after Apollo 13 breached Earth's atmosphere, one of their air tanks malfunctioned, and blew up. The crew noticed oxygen levels decreasing at a surprising rate. They had to take action and fast. They had to somehow quickly and safely get themselves home, but how? With quick thinking, they hurried and turned the shuttle around. Now, they were heading back to Earth. They crash landed in the ocean. They had luckily all survived this horrific
The movie Apollo 13 represents an event that happened in Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The importance of this event is that it was a spacecraft launch to the moon that didn't reach the moon successfully. This happened because on the way to the moon, the spacecraft had an explosion This caused fear among NASA and the three astronauts, who were originally scheduled for a later launch. They were all fearful for the lives of the astronauts because with the explosion, the tank had gotten damaged. The movie of Apollo 13 relates to physics in many different ways.

Alan bean is a respected astronaut. He has traveled into space multiple times on multiple different missions. One of these missions is the Apollo 12 mission. Apollo 12 was the second manned landing on the moon. Alan Bean was the captain of this endeavor along with captain Pete Conrad.
Questions about the 1969 moon landing 1. Where were you when it happened? 2. Was you happy or sad? 3.
After being in the sea for five days, they did not believe that anyone was coming. “All the same, they felt hopeless, despairing that rescue would ever come.” (Left For Dead p. 88) They never even saw a ship or a plane. When they were finally rescued, some sailors
One of the greatest space mission is the third mission to land on the Moon, Apollo 13. The Apollo 13 mission to the moon may have been the most miraculous event in history. Not only were the astronauts able to make it through any obstacle they faced, but they used their intellect in every situation. After getting through all the phases of getting through space, such as releasing certain parts of the shuttle and preparing their landing craft, they realize something’s wrong. Their oxygen tanks exploded!
When Apollo 13 returned all the wives of the men were overwhelmed since there was so little hope on them coming back at all. Lovell's wife was thinking that if her husband did not come back, what would she have to say to her children that daddy isn't coming back. This led to NASA's control room tear up and cry because they were so relieved that they had brought back home three men back home to their families. So when Apollo 13 had happened NASA did not send another craft back into space until they have perfected their
On the 18th day at sea, they finally heard the sound of a plane. They tried with all their strength to get the plane 's attention. The plane did not spot them, and they were crushed with disappointment. They next day, two more planes appeared, but once again disappeared without seeing them. Frustration peaked and Cherry, Whittaker, and DeAngelis once again decided to go on their own.
Throughout this film, the Apollo 13 mission or participant faced many issues. Despite the many issues such as the oxygen tanks level begin to fail halfway through the mission to the moon, the team play calm, organized, worked as a team to return the astronauts to safety back on the earth. There are many leaders played Apollo 13, but we mainly focused on Jim lovell’s and Gene Kranz characters. Their leaderships are charismatic because they worked with commanders, pilot jack and directors try to accomplish the mission. Even though, they faced many challenges and issues, the team worked together to motivate their subordinates and have trust in each other’s ability to carry out tasks and procedures.
Hardships,by definition, are events that can make life difficult. These circumstances are trying in more ways than one, but the overcoming of these challenges can allow a person to learn the value of work through the pleasure of accomplishing a demanding task. Therefore, hardships can influence a person’s life in a positive way because overcoming them can result in the relief of doing the seemingly impossible. During the 1970’s, the Apollo 13 Lunar Mission was underway when an oxygen tank ruptured on board the shuttle. A carbon dioxide filter was damaged and their lives were in the hands of the men and women at Mission Control.
All 27 missions went great they would go up do some experiments and come back down. But, on the 28th mission there were some problems. At first it was budget cuts said by President Nixon. A month later he cut all missions after this launch.
Apollo 13 was a historical event in NASA’s history. There was an accident on the spacecraft 2 days after it was launched into space. The accident was that wires were exposed inside the oxygen tanks through manufacturing and testing errors before the launch. The night of August 13, 1970 a spark from the exposed wires caused a fire, which ripped apart one oxygen tank and damaged the other inside the Odyssey,
Throughout history, there have been many significant moments and events that have shaped the world we live in today. From revolutions and wars to scientific discoveries and cultural movements, these moments have left a lasting impact on society. If given the chance to witness any historical moment or event, I would choose to witness the Apollo 11 moon landing. The Apollo 11 moon landing, which occurred on July 20, 1969, was a remarkable achievement in human history.
Apollo 13 was a successful failure. This is because the astronauts had to duck a mission to overcome the obstacles they faced. Apollo 13 was a successful failure because it was a mission to the moon, with many challenges along the way, as well as surviving the free fall back to earth, safely. In the beginning, Apollo 13 and it’s three astronauts had a mission to go to the moon so that they could sample moon dust.
When Neil Armstrong first touched down on the moon in 1969, millions of people watched him take the first step and create history (Villard). Yet even as we’ve moved on from the moon landings and consider them as a pivotal point for mankind, “Forty years after U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon, many conspiracy theorists still insist the Apollo 11 moon landing was an elaborate hoax”(Than). The idea that our voyage to the moon was deliberately staged seems to resurface year after year. While the conspiracy theorists claim the moon landing was a hoax, creating a fake moon landing would have been more expensive and difficult than actually reaching the moon. The race to the moon began on October 5, 1957, when the Soviet Union launched Sputnik into orbit around the earth: “When the Soviet Union launched the satellite Sputnik, on October 4, 1957, the United States experienced a technological identity crisis”(Olson).
