Youth Tackle Football Why the interest in youth football lately? Youth football has been getting a bad rep lately because of concerned parents. Parents of football players are concerned for their child’s safety while playing tackle football. Plenty of cities and towns are banning youth football, because of concussions. Research shows that having many concussions may lead to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, otherwise known as CTE. When it comes to football, safety should be the priority, not banning it. Football can lead to concussions, but so can many other things. Banning youth football would not help at all, although the people wanting to ban it do have some good points. In conclusion, banning youth football is an absurd idea.
