Although some people believe that George Anthony, Casey’s father, was involved with the death of Caylee Anthony, the most plausible cause would be Casey murdering her child. To initiate, Keith Ablow is an author who has done extensive research and wrote a book on the Casey Anthony case, states in his book multiple ways Caylee Anthony could’ve died from. He expresses that Casey would have murdered her daughter in order to avoid “her mothers threat” to kick her out of the house and gain custody of Caylee. Casey Anthony has a very selfish and childish attitude towards many things, she has not much of her own and is very reliant on her parents. If they were to cut her off and take her child she would have nothing to her name. In addition, the theory that Caylee drowned is also plausible but confusing, Ablow challenges another theory by saying when Caylee Anthony drowned only “Casey was in the house at the time.” The though of owning up to her careless actions of letting a 2-year-old swim unattended was unthinkable. …show more content…
During the trial of Casey Anthony, her lawyer, Jose Baez, acknowledged the death of Caylee with a story no one had ever heard until then. Baez states that Caylee accidentally drowned in the pool, and “Casey disposed of her body” due the fear of her father that sexually abused her and supposedly her daughter as well. (Schildkraut). Given the fact that this has never been heard of or acknowledged until this trial comes off as unbelievable. Especially from Casey Anthony’s past of lying. With her unbelievable claim and lack of evidence against her father, it is most likely that she was the culprit in her own daughter's death. What's more, Stephanie Pagones, a reporter at FOX News, recalls George Anthony denying all involvement with her death and disposal of Caylee Anthony’s body. Since Anthony only makes empty claims and statements with no evidence, it is difficult to take her story as
As a teenage girl, casey started getting into the bad habit of lying in highschool. She began with lying about her graduating high school only for her parents to find out at graduation that Casey had stopped attending. She then lied about being pregnant with Caylee, once they found out the truth she never revealed who the true father was. Casey lived with her parents during the early years of her daughter Caylee’s life.
Casey Anthony age thirty-one is found not guilty for killing her two year old daughter. Casey Anthony should have been found guilty because of these three reasons: Anthony’s mother Cindy was the one to call the cops when Caylee went missing instead of Casey, the cops found chloroform on Caylee’s body and in her trunk, and it is known that Casey didn’t want her daughter to begin with. There is enough substantial evidence to prove that Casey Anthony is guilty for the murder of her daughter. Caylee Anthony was born on August 9, 2005 and reported missing on July 15, 2008. Casey told several falsehoods to detectives including that Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny on June 9th, and that she had been too frightened to alert the authorities.
Casey Anthony was acquitted of her daughter’s death in July 2011 and maintains her innocence to this day. However, she did serve time for providing false information to a law enforcement officer during her daughter’s investigation. According to Mary Bowerman’s March 2017 article, “Casey Anthony Probably Killed Her Daughter, But by Accident, Judge Says,” retired Judge Perry, who presided over the case, believes Casey may have accidentally killed her daughter.
With jury selections weeks prior to the trial, the Anthony trial moved the case to Clearwater, Florida instead of Orlando due to the amount of publicity of the case and their needs of a fair trial. One of the most interesting and most valuable theories the appellants attorneys came up was that Caylee’s death was due to an accident drowning in the family’s backyard pool, and that the month-long delay of reporting the child missing was due to the panic between Casey and George Anthony. According to Crime Museum, “Casey’s behavior afterwards–lying to her friends and family about her daughter’s whereabouts, as well as partying at local clubs–resulted from a lifelong habit of hiding her pain, according to her lawyer. They alleged that this habit was formed in her childhood because her father sexually abused her”.
USA TODAY published an article “Casey Anthony breaks her silence: I sleep pretty good at night.” Anthony did an interview with Associated Press speaking about the case and her daughter’s death for the first time. The Associated Press said that the interview with Anthony was “revealing, bizarre and often contradictory, and ultimately raised more question than answers about the case.” In the interview with Associated Press, Anthony admitted to lying to the police about a number of things such as her employment, leaving her child with a babysitter, and receiving a call from Caylee before she went missing. During the trial, the defense stated that Caylee had drown in the pool and then Casey Anthony’s father tried to cover up the accident.
The prosecution argued that Casey had killed her daughter by suffocating her with duct tape and then disposing of her body in a wooded area near her home. The defense argued that Caylee had accidentally drowned in the family's swimming pool and that Casey had panicked and disposed of the body. The jury ultimately found Casey not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and aggravated child abuse. She was found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to law enforcement. The case has been highly debated since the verdict was announced.
On July 5th, 2011 Casey Anthony was found not guilty for murdering her two year old daughter Caylee Anthony in Orlando Florida. Caylee was found in a trash bag, with duct tape wrapped around her head to cut off air supply. There are many key pieces of evidence in the case that points toward Casey being guilty of the crime. I truly believe Casey killed Caylee, here are a few reasons why.
Lead defense attorney Jose Baez suggested, at the trial, that the little girl drowned and Casey Anthony's father, George, helped cover up the incident. The former judge for the case believes the Casey Anthony killed her toddler daughter, but not own purpose. “Considering the high levels of chloroform that was found in the trunk of the car, that was my logical deduction for what happened,' Perry said. ' That’s just a theory. The only person that actually knows what happened is Casey
If Caylee was with the “nanny,” why did Casey not check up on the nanny every couple of hours wondering how her daughter is doing? Is Casey Anthony still really innocent with all this evidence thrown at
Casey never reported to the police that the “baby sitter” had took her daughter. She just continued living her life as normal. With no sadness, no worries. Prosecutors claimed that Casey Anthony killed her daughter by drugging Caylee with chloroform and suffocating her with duct tape over her mouth and nose. The prosecution also claimed that Casey Anthony used the family computer to visit a site on how to make chloroform 84 times.
Casey Anthony “Smell of Death” In the summer of 2008, Casey Anthony daughter Caylee Anthony was last seen on June 16, 2008. No one knows where she was nor did Casey report that her daughter was missing. Time went by with no sign of Caylee reappearing. Casey’s mother called and reported that her granddaughter was missing and that Casey’s car smelled like a dead body had been in there.
On June 9, 2005 Casey claims Caylee is “missing.” She says she dropped Caylee off at a babysitter’s house, but that is later proven to be a lie. Cindy Anthony, Casey’s mother, says she last
Another piece of information that father supports that Casey did indeed kill her daughter, was her search history before Caylee went missing, why did she google so many ways to die? Casey also went out partying many times after her daughter went missing, but she told police that she was investigating where he daughter was.
In our society killing one’s own child would be looked at as a horrific act. The bond between a mother and child should be unbreakable. What could possibly motivate someone to do something so terrible to his or her child? In the case of Andrea Yates there were multiple factors, including her mental health, which ultimately caused her to take the lives of her children. Infanticide, which is killing one’s own child, has not always been regarded as an act of horror, even in the U.S.
In this case the only obstacle the prosecutors had was prove that Caylee Anthony was murdered by her own mother, they had to prove beyond reasonable doubt to the jury that she was behind her daughter’s death. Most of the evidence that was presented was in fact pointed to Casey Anthony as the person who was fully liable for her daughter
