The fifth chapter starts out with Arlo talking about how important endurance is in football. Arlo explains how training is important to help keep going throughout the game. Dinos approaches him while completing postgame drills, Arlo then asks Dinos to be his workout partner and Dinos agrees. It then fast forwards to Wednesday and Dinos starts immediately critiquing him on his form. They then both lifted weights and eventually wrestling. It then fast forwards to the next day when Lloyd asks Arlo why is he leaving for school so early. Arlo tells him to work out and Lloyd then says why don't you workout with me and how he thinks that Arlo thinks he's too good to work out with him. Arlo was asking his parents were they sure they wanted Sandy to come over for dinner. Arlo then thinks about how each member of the family spends their thanksgiving separate from each other. Arlo starts to get ready for the football game and Lloyd comes in his room telling him to finish up quickly so they won’t be late. Arlo asks Lloyd for advice on the football game because he wants to do as well as he can and be prepared. Arlo replayed in his mind what to do if a situation happened on the field. During the game, Arlo becomes addicted to hitting everything in sight without thinking much about it. The game finishes and their team lost. Lloyd, Arlo, Sandy, and the boys father talk about how the game went and they say how Arlo did well even though the team lost. Lloyd then starts saying how Arlo was being unnecessary during the game. The chapter fast forwards to Sandy at the family home introducing herself to them. Sandy and the boys mom are in the kitchen together cooking for Thanksgiving. They come back together to eat dinner and start to tell embarrassing stories about each other. It then moves to Arlo thinks about how Lloyd became injured playing football made their mom afraid for them to play

Henry ended up all bruised up because it was him versus everyone in the downey
Eric Buchman, a popular TV writer, recently wrote an article for the New York Times titled, Football Has Become Too Real to Watch. Buchman’s argument, which is not only laid out in the title but also in the last sentence of the article, is that the joy of football, something many have experienced for years, has been sucked out of fans due to the reality of current issues within the NFL. Buchman wrote this article in an effort to inform football fans, and even everyday people, of the often-omitted issues involved with the NFL. Out of the three rhetorical appeals: ethos, pathos, and logos, there is one that confuses me more than the others, logos.

Despite the controversy surrounding the dangers of football, it has still developed into a multi-billion dollar industry. Pretty much everyone has heard of football or the stars that surround it, but few people know how football got its start. Football is believed to have descended from the ancient Greek game of harpaston.
Their dad kicks Sam out and he joins the army. Sam took their dads gun to fight with. Tim, His dad, and his mother are left to run to the tavern that their family owns. The war continues on and supplies become scarce. Sam had come back to town and was staying in one of their neighbors houses.
Everyone is surprised how good he is for a middle aged man. He starts winning them games one by one. Everyone is impressed, because they were losing before and now are winning. The judge is not happy that he is winning, because the judge wants to take the team away.
Later, Tommy convinces Emily to play soccer with him and they talk for a little bit, this helps Emily and Tommy realize that they can be happy and have a good time even though their dad is gone. Tommy finally got back to being the football player that he was before and his team starts to win. Tommy’s team, the Brighton Bears end up making it to the championship game. During the first quarter of the game, Tommy injures himself making a touchdown saving tackle.
In Mike Lupica’s QB 1, Jake, a high school quarterback, must work to earn respect. Jake is the son of former NFL player Troy Cullen and has a brother name Wyatt Cullen that lead his team to the State Title win last year. Jake is now going out for football and they are not just giving him the position on a silver platter like the rest of the teams think he will They think that since Jake is a Cullen he will be the first one to play the quarterback position. But he has to work for every snap and every ounce of respect. Jake faces several problems through the book.
Furthermore, they’ve committed their lives to the gym. Consequently, their dedication paid off. I have always loved sports. I try my very best to work hard at them. The hard work that I have put in and the lessons I have learned, have helped shape who I am today.
No longer then a few minutes later Ponyboy went running to Jonny and telling him that they were running away. After Jonny finally calmed Ponyboy down, he got it out of him that Darry had hit him. Ponyboy told Jonny that he could go home after he cooled down. As they were walking to the park nearby, they noticed the same car they had seen previously that night when they got caught by a couple of Soc's trying to walk their girls home after they had ditched their boyfriends after they were drinking. As the guys pulled up and got out of their car, Ponyboy noticed that they were drunk.
With Ponyboy and Johnny being the nice kids they are the tell Dallas to leave them along making get upset and leaving. After that the girls hang around with them for awhile until their boyfriends show up drunk and angry that two other guys are talking to their girls. The girls go home with them and Ponyboy and Johnny leave. Later that night they run into them again and they remember them starting a fight. Bob one of the Socs gets killed in the fight by Johnny in fear that he was going to kill Ponyboy.
Pony sees the article about him in the paper, and realizes he needs to be present at court for his actions. This risks the chance of the three brothers being allowed to continue living together. Surprisingly, all they said about Dally was how he was a hero. Soda tells Pony that they are going to have a party after the rumble where the greasers get rid of the Socs for good, after this everyone leaves and Two-bit is left to babysit Pony. While out with Two-bit, Pony spots a few Socs, Randy (Marcia’s boyfriend) being one of them.
Darry slaps Ponyboy, and after soon regrets it because Pony runs out and tells Johnny that they’re running away. Once they get to where they want to go the same Socs that tried to jump them earlier go at them again, and Johnny kills one, Pony and
Both of them wants to win the Olympic final in the 100-meter run. But they also take physical and mental pressures in order to achieve their goal. The movie’s itself tries to show us that their winning was a consequence of their intense belief in themselves and their cause. It is generally agreed today that in our time sporting events are much more different than in the past. People let their emotions and poor attitudes reflect on some really poor sportsmanship.
Everyday for a month, I would head over to Moe’s place to train. I could taste every drop of blood, sweat, and tears from the pain that I had to endure, but I enjoyed every second of it.
