Kanye Omari West came from humble beginnings, living in the suburbs of Chicago, with a lower-middle-class background. He really wasn’t a big deal, producing songs for small local artists, and getting little to no recognition. That is, until, some small artist he was producing for named Jay-Z blew up. Jay then brought Kanye along with him to immediate fame. After his name became widely known, and he had already released an album or two.
