I am a criminal justice major here at SUU. I am a responsible, honest, and hardworking student and continue to maintain these characteristics. I wish to strive for a 4.0 GPA while maintaining my maturity and character. This housing will provide an environment in which I can achieve this goal and others with the highest efficiency. While focusing on my studies, I will be able to sustain a level of independence. Receiving this partial housing scholarship will help me to further avoid student loan debt and focus on working towards my career instead of concentrating on how to repay loans. By removing even a portion of this financial barrier, my educational and career goals become more attainable. I will have additional time to focus on studying

Proposal Narrative for 4 U Housing Coalition Tamela Milan PPA 512 Course Name: Professional Writing and Communication in Public Policy and Administration National Louis University October 27, 2015 The Mission of 4U Housing Coalition (4UC) is to advocate for the planning and development of housing units for large families in the Humboldt Park area. The history of Humboldt Park shows Humboldt Park is one of 77 officially designated community areas, located on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois.[2] The Humboldt Park neighborhood is known for its dynamic social and ethnic demographic change over the years. The Puerto Rican community has identified strongly with the area since the 1970s; however, gentrification and displacement has significantly
My second reasoning for changing the funding and time a person can use it is to make it more beneficial to those who have it. Obviously, the program isn’t for everyone and was meant for only the ones that needed the extra incentive and help for college. By limiting the amount of people using it to lower incomes and increasing the amount given has been shown to not only increase graduation rate but enrollment rates as well. Along with this putting a cap on it after four years is better in many ways. First this allows it to be able to more of an incentive to graduate on time for any given program.

My high school diploma is the foundation of my education but my college education will be the main structure for my future. UW Oshkosh will provide me with more than just a degree, it will provide me with an experience that I don’t think I can find in any other college. I know UW Oshkosh is the right college for me. ESSAY ONE (minimum 300 words) -Community can be defined as a number of people living in the same area and linked by common values, practices, and goals (Spitzberg & Thorndike, 1992). Describe an experience in which you made a positive difference in a community you are a member of. What did you learn about the concept of “communities” from this experience, and how do you see these lessons playing out when forming a community in Honors Housing? One way that I dedicate time to my community is by volunteering at my local YMCA. I volunteered for SNAP (Special Needs Adaptive Program), where once a week, I would help a student with one-on-one swimming instruction.
This will help me complete my prerequisites and also help me learn all about what I need to know to have my dream career. I believe that I deserve this scholarship because I am hard-working and dedicated. I will graduate high school a semester early with all my credits and a 3.6 GPA. I have worked since the summer I turned 15, and now during my senior year, I hold two part time jobs adding up to about 30-40 hours a week while still going to highschool full time. I have also held many leadership positions throughout my high school years.
For the last two years of my academic career at Kansas State University, I have been privileged and honored to receive the O’Brate Scholarship which has indubitably been a pivotal factor in making my college years both positive and successful. The financial security, network of support, and outreach the O’Brate Scholarship bestows unto its recipients such as myself, allows to direct more attention and effort into studies and other academic endeavors in addition to other college experiences which would otherwise would be limited. Furthermore, by budgeting my money on a month to month basis, I have become a more conscious and savvy consumer. Knowing where the money comes in from and where it goes helps maximize the potential of every dollar.

The Availability of Affordable Housing Grace Holan, Sarah Gouge, Lauren Thomas, and Ebony Thomas FCS 4347-01 Texas State University The Availability of Affordable Housing The availability of a safe home or shelter for families and children should be something that every citizen has access and opportunity to. However, the housing market in Texas has become a place where safety and shelter do not always go hand in hand. The Texas housing market has become increasingly unaffordable, leaving many people the option of going in debt or taking shelter in an unsafe but affordable environment. During three years of studying in LACC my goal was to obtain an AA degree then transfer to the University of Northridge or Cal State LA. I am majoring in Accounting and have a GPA of 3.91. I keep myself occupied by studying and working at LACC at the same time. The experience that I am obtaining working at an academic field is simply amazing because I interact with people of various education levels and work experiences. I live with my mother and sister who has two kids and help her to take care of them.
As I begin my college education, I want to continue doing my best in order to accomplish my goal of becoming a registered nurse. With the scholarship money I can have the peace of mind of solemnly focusing on college. Students who have to work to continue their education have trouble focusing on school and do not have the extra time to study or go to tutoring sessions. In many cases, having to work while attending college usually leads to failing or dropping the class due to extra stress and the idea of income. As well, this scholarship will give me more time to focus on my education and to continue my volunteer work helping the

I already know I will need to be paying for the majority of my college tuition, which is why I have worked so hard and had a job since I was 16. I know many students around my financial status whose parents are paying for all of their college, but for my family this isn’t the case. The tuition will fall mainly on my shoulders, and I believe I deserve this scholarship to help me pay for
This will expand the horizons. I will use my degree to share my knowledge and contribute to the society. The scholarship will help me to turn my ultimate dream into
