Nickolas Hartman 1:24 PM (5 hours ago) to Paris, Alexis, Eliza All, It was awesome to hear about all the meetings and events coming together last week. We are less than a week out from several of our events and two weeks out from many of the rest. I look forward to seeing what we can roll out as a group and seeing the success of all of our events. Also a big thank you to those STUCO members who helped and ran the Julia Bargman run on Saturday. This a great event and has a huge impact on our community. We only have a three day week this week but there are still plenty of events going on. One Homeless night will be meeting in Mr. Becker 's room - tomorrow morning at 7:20, if you see yourself helping with this event please be there as we …show more content…
You guys had a historic season and we are very proud! Also congrats to the volleyball team on a solid season and best of luck to soccer and football at districts this week! Finally, in conjunction with the leadership class, the Executive board challenges all of you to engage with your classmates further this week. At lunch, put down your phones and have a healthy conversation. In the halls, say hi to people and ask how they are doing. In the school, find someone you don 't normally talk to or someone new to our school and make a new friend. We will explain more on Tuesday, but engage with your classmates this week! To recap our goals for this week are: October/Early November events should be beginning final preparations on their specific event. November events should be meeting with committees, continuing planning for events and reporting back progress to their Exec Board mentor. All members attend the STUCO meeting on Tuesday. Members should engage with their classmates throughout the week. It 's only three days this week, so let 's make a great three days and enjoy our break on Thursday and Friday. We can 't say this enough, but we are thankful for all the work you all are doing! Keep it up and we 'll see you Tuesday. Respectfully, Nick
I will make A’s in all my classes. 2/17/2017 I will use TCC electronic systems to help accomplish this goal. I will also have to set short and long term goals as well as practice writing essay exams. I will create study/homework blocks of time for myself and my son.
While we have grown together as a pledge class, we have learned that although the pledge process requires commitment and a lot of extra time, it has built us significantly. Our time-management skills have improved as a necessity in the context of our own maturity. Through these moments I am proud to justify that we will soon be members of an organization larger than us. This bestowal placed upon us is an outstanding privilege we shall not take for granted and celebrate respectfully. I am honored to say you have all changed me for the better.
Two years have elapsed since my first district convention. It was an unforgettable experience. Within two days and two nights, I lost my voice and gained a passion. Three years have flown by since my enrollment as an Clackamas Key Club member. Each service project after the next was eye-opening.
Spirit Week in Ronald Reagan High School is typically a great time to have some unique fun with friends, while also being a time to pridefully represent yourself as an amusing member of the student body. Since freshman year I have thoroughly enjoyed the idea of a Spirit Week, but I also appreciated the idea that the students of Reagan get to contribute to the Spirit Week days almost directly. Traditionally, Student Council and the members within it are the ones who think of the clever Spirit Week plans, and ordinarily the execution is fantastic. Yet this year there has been a serious rise in tension considering the student body's views on one of the Spirit Week Days.
In life, even though we are told not to do so, a lot of us “count our chickens before they hatch”. We make assumptions on things before they happen because we believe that if something seems so likely, it will happen. Well, that is what my Liberty High School cross country team did my sophomore year. Going into the year, we not only knew we were going to be strong, we thought other teams were going to be weak. The top teams from the state finals the previous year had all lost most of their key pieces.
The title of the most ‘Disorganized, Sporadically Planned, Disaster of an Event of the 2016-2017 School Year,’ must sadly be granted the 2016-17 National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. As a brand new National Honor Society Inductee, I was honored with the chance to attend this prestigious event and found myself leaving dissatisfied and disillusioned. The National Honor Society is a well-respected and important organization in the academic community, one that students work hard to achieve enrollment in and colleges view with respect and admiration. The Induction Ceremony is meant to honor these students dedication and scholastic work ethic and pay homage to the Honor students that have come before us. I had much been looking forward the event as a way to show my family how much effort I have poured into my highschool career.
I watched as the batter stepped up to the plate. My coach pitched the ball and BAM! The softball hit me right in the knee! My softball team had a tournament coming up for Minnesota schools.
Good evening. I would like to start by sharing a quote from an unknown author: Being a nurse isn’t about grades, it’s about being who we are. No book can teach you how to cry with a patient. No class can teach you how to tell their family that their parent has died or is dying. No professor can teach you how to find dignity in giving someone a bed bath.
Titan’s Graduation Speech Good morning COL Griffin, CSM Bolanos, SGM Jackson, distinguished guests, friends and family, and most importantly Good morning TITANS! I am honored to be standing in front of so many of you who have answered the call of their nation during a time of war. This is something that less than 1% of our nation’s population will ever do. You stand out as brave individuals and Soldiers today.
I also closed a partnership with EOPS, one of the school 's programs that provides support for disadvantaged students. This partnership provides an opportunity for students who achieve excellence in academics to join an internationally recognize honor society, which they might have not been able to afford on their own due to their economic situation. As an individual who understands the struggle of a low income family, I am delighted to provide this opportunity for those who qualify. I hope this is only the beginning of what I can offer for Phi Theta Kappa and my
This assembly changed the culture of the school, leaving many students touched and reducing the number of office referrals. I additionally established the Friends of Rachel Club, which is dedicated to spreading random acts of
You each have already done a lot, with many great things to come, so tonight we take a moment and appreciate your accomplishments and your potential! So, inductees, stand up and let us recognize you! We are proud!
Which involved them asking for help after my presentation, so that really was the only success. So I guess I can say that having and planning out these events did not work out for me very well. What worked for me this semester was the in class discussions because I was able to interact with the opinions and I was able to share my opinions. These discussions also made me feel that I was apart of the class and not just an empty voice in the front of the class.
This event was very successful as the event fostered many conversations and interactions between students and faculty. Another one of the Minerva goals is to enrich intellectual and cultural life outside the classroom. I have sought to enrich cultural life outside the classroom through my participation
What do I hope to accomplish this year in yearbook? I hope to make this yearbook so spectacular… That no one will ever be able to top it. With all of our minds coming together I know we can do that.
