Should Gym Class Be Paid?

Do you feel as though gym class takes up time that athletes could spend more usefully? Many people believe that athletes should be exempt from participating in gym class for many reasons. For example, they might believe that the athlete already knows how to maintain a healthy and nutritious life because of their training. I believe that gym class is non beneficial for athletes because they are physically active, they are served by a healthy example and role model; however, some may feel that they are pushed too hard between gym and their sport. An example of why gym class is not a constructive use of time for athletes is because they are already physically active. The students already are substantially active. if you push the athlete too hard then they could get hurt by having torn or strained muscles. Sports also take time and dedication. If the student already believes that they are active enough then they will not try hard in physical education. When a student plays a sport, then the lesson of P.E. is already learned. To play a sport you have to be fit, eat nutritious food, and exercise a lot. It makes no sense for an athlete to take gym class then because the lesson is taught by their coaches. Gym teachers are used to be served as role models, and to demonstrate the knowledge of health, physically wellness. Athletes already have an example of a healthy lifestyle. There are no benefits of gym class for athletes because they are already substantially active, they are taught by a coach who serves as a healthy role model already, and when involved in both sports and P.E., athletes push themselves to the limits and may get hurt.
