This quote tells us how surprised Thomas is to survive the maze throughout the night which is something that has never happened before. This quote is showing us readers that Thomas and Minho survived the maze during night which was never thought to be possible. This quote is a great example of never losing faith because Thomas and Minho never gave up, never lost faith, and they believed that they will survive till the end. “Thomas pointed down the long tunnel. “I heard the door open down that way,” He tried to push away the ache of it all-the horrors of the battle they`d just won” (Dashner, 349). This quote showed us that Thomas and all of the remaining kids that survived the battle finally reached the exit after pummeling the monsters. This shows that all the kids had faith because they never stopped believing that there is an exit and risked their lives to reach the exit no matter what. From the text we can tell there are many times that the theme of never losing faith is reoccuring throughout the

Not just faith in themselves, but in God. In Night, the main character Ellie stopped having faith in God, and that took a huge toll on his survival. He thought there was no reason to believe, “Why should I sanctify His name? The almighty, the eternal and terrible Master of the universe, chose to be silent. What was there to thank Him for?”(Wiesel 33).
Thomas More was a dedicated Catholic man, so because of this he did not approve of divorces. Strength to Persevere “The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.” ― J.R.R. The torturing and suffering caused is what widdles down the belief, and this present throughout the novel. Only the strong and the ones who have most faith would survive, yet at the same time, if they didn’t originally have faith, they could’ve avoided the concentration camps

I can relate to having faith because I often put trust or confidence into someone or something when I’m having a struggle in my life. When I was younger I didn’t really know God. Once I found out about God, I immediately learned having faith in him is one of the most important decisions anyone can ever make. Once I made that decision to maintain my trust in him I noticed that many things started to fall my way. In the novel, Eliezar also questioned his faith several times but always turned back to putting his trust in God because he knew what was right.
This is similar to the previous quote in the fact that a world was lost. The people had not died in this story, but they were not there anymore. They were as good as dead. “You’ve let this room and this house replace you and your wife in your children’s feelings. This room is their mother and father, far more important in their lives than their real parents.”’

Somehow he knew he had to do it. It was such an odd thing to feel, especially after what he 'd just seen”(Dashner, 39).... “Thomas knew he was a smart kid- he somehow felt it in his bones. But nothing about this place made any sense. Except for one thing.
