In late 1990s, the energy consumption has increased by 70% and from 2000-2005 consumption of coal increased by 75%. China is the world largest emission of SO2. The pollution in water also created a serious threat. In between 2000 -2005, 54% of seven rivers of China was regarded as unsafe to drink. The polluted rivers mainly lies in the northeast part of China because of dense population density. Northern China faces both air and water pollution where there is highest per capita income. Most dangerous polluted water lies in Huai, Songhua, Liao and Hai as well as most severe scarcity of water problem lies in Ningxia, Tianjin, Beijing, Jiangsu and Shanxi. Both pollution has created severe health problem which lead to premature mortality rate and morbidity. Air pollution has directly affected 157.3 billion yuan or 1.16 % of GDP. There are still no pipe water in rural areas which created diarrhoea and cancers of digestive system, whose worth cost 1.9 % of total GDP of the country. Water and air pollution has damages the material and crop. Crop damaged by acid rain costs 30 billion and 7 billion in material damage. China has about 5000 years of history. There were 24 dynasties in China total. In my opinion, Tang Dynasty was the greatest. China’s civilization was most impacted by Tang Empire. Tang Empire started from 618 AD and ended in 907 AD.
Ancient China was the center of the ancient world because they saw themselves as the middle kingdom. Influence of 2 ancient Chinese dynasties, the Qin dynasty and the Han dynasty, was astounding, as they made new innovations and techniques in their government. Their success was largely due to access to immense amounts of resources and innovative technologies that both dynasties used to have leverage civilizations nearby, and use for trade on the silk road. The Era of Warring states was two hundred years of violent fighting.8 The Qin Dynasty rose from the confusion, establishing an organized government and preceding to unify China for the first time. 10 The Han continued this practice, it brought stability and peace to China.8 However, due to China’s geography, which is very isolated, lead to the formation of different ideas of government and philosophy compared to the rest of the world at that time. The Qin and Han Dynasties implemented ideas and philosophies into their government that had never been seen before.
Throughout most of China 's history, the country has remained rather isolated from from other nations and their influences. Although there are major instances in which outsiders were able to make significant impressions, such as the introduction of Buddhism, or the devastating opium wars. However, on a whole they were able to remain genuinely separated especially when compared to the development of other countries. In ancient China, this proved to be beneficial to their cultural development which is why they were able to become such an advanced and lasting ancient civilization. Without outside influences their culture was able to solidify, grow, and provide important advancements in ancient times, such as the first paper.
