World War II had many outcomes, but not all of them affect the world today. Part of the outcomes that do affect the world today are affecting the world in different ways, for example the cold war, war crimes, division of Germany. One of the most important ones is the creation of UDHR (Universal Declaration of Human Rights), but one can argue that the most important one is is the creation of Israel. Israel is very impactful today as it affects the world politically, economically and socially, and the UDHR is supposed to prevent discrimination, slavery, and inequality. The UDHR was formed on December 1948, (History of the Document) three years after the war ended. After the war and the creation of the United Nations, the U.N decided to make …show more content…
Israel gained its territory in wars but a big part of it was from the six-day war in 1967 where Israel conquered the east bank including Jerusalem from Jordan, Gaza strip and Sinai from Egypt (after a few years they gave it back to Egypt in order to have peace), and the Golan Heights from Syria (HISTORY: The State of Israel). The idea of a Jewish country was formed a long time before the Holocaust happened, due to the Holocaust the U.N, which made the decision of creating the country, agreed to the idea because of the discrimination of Jews. As a result, they thought that they deserved a country of their own. Since Israel was formed it participated in seven wars and two Intifadas. The creation of Israel is the most important outcome of WW II. By important I mean affecting people’s lives, Israel is affecting Israelis everyday because of the conflicts with Arab countries, for example Iran. Iran is one of the biggest enemies of Israel. It was making nuclear weapons that were planned to bomb Israel until it had an agreement with U.S and Israel to stop making them in order to cancel the sanctions imposed on them by the world. However, according to the military attaché of Israel in Brazil Col. Raed Kador, the danger did not pass because this agreement is only for eight years. Another way Israel impacts the world today is that it is second place in startups and ideas, Israel invented
Six years prior to the start of WWII in 1939, Germany began to use and dispose of what they thought was their reason for losing the previous world war. The germans saw pros and cons to the Jews. They saw that they were many in number, which meant more work could be accomplished as long as they were
The book Night, is very upsetting to most people, but it talks about an actual view of somebodies experience in World War Two, and how things actually were. World War Two, was the most destructive conflict in history. It lasted from 1939-1945, Adolf Hitler (the Leader of the Nazi’s) was determined to pretty much invade Poland, and they did. Two days later, France and Britain declared war on Germany. That is when the war broke out.
Prior to World War 2 Jewish people were the main family or culture that the Nazi’s been feeding off of and killing approximately 6,000 each day. Which led to 6.5 million Jews dead at the end of the war and a few survivors. Although one of these few survivors was Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank, Diarist of one of the most famous diaries, “The Diary of Anne Frank.” World War 2 was a devastating event that changed how Jews lived because because they were said to be “Divergent.” How I felt about the events covered in the Diary of Anne Frank was dramatically depressing.
In its initial years, the Vietnam War had huge amounts of help originating from US citizens. We thought that the war would not take long at all and would make new American Casualties. Their thoughts started to change once they understood that the legislature had sugar coated how "well" the war was going when in actuality, it wasn't looking good. Major offensive attacks were launched by the Viet Cong on major bases. It was a decision of good or bad for the administration, their decision was constantly awful.
Bibi Barrera APUSH 3/13/18 P1 Short Answer Rewrite The Vietnam War was a war that happened to last 20 years. The United States did not agree with the spread of communism so they sided with South Vietnam. The U.S happened to get involved due to wanting to stop the war because they didn’t want it to spread. It impacted the world due to it being the first war to become televised and people were upset because people were dying.
World War II started on September 1, 1939 and ended on September 2, 1945. World War II was the most destructive conflict in history. It cost more money, damaged more property, killed more people, and caused more far-reaching changes than any other war in history. World War II caused a lot of issues in the world like the expansion of the holocaust, which caused the death camps, concentration camps, extermination camps, etc. The historical impact on WWII is one of the biggest impact on America.
The Holocaust was nothing short of mass genocide an entire culture just because they didn’t fit in with a government “vision”, which made them easy scapegoats for the Nazi Regime for problems that came to Germany after the First World War. So when the Holocaust started, many refuges evacuated Germany and parts of Europe for places such as Palestinian, which was once apart of their homeland. But when the new people there, the Arabians, would limit or even try and stop them from getting in, it created a heavy tension that has lasted to this day.
Maus happens to give us a good look at one of the most important events in history: the Holocaust. After World War 2 hostility towards jews began to die down. The creation of the state of israel was a result of the Holocaust, and has given many jews a place to go after World War 2. Throughout history Jews have been persecuted and treated unfairly.
Hitler was the main aggressor during 1939 who everyone appeased to, who is infamously known for his rise to power, his persecution of Jews, and his attacks on the world to dominate, that killed so many. Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister, believed in the policy of appeasement and appeased Hitler at the Munich Conference which eventually lead to the start of World War II. The Western Powers responded to aggression with appeasement, and in 1939 the world was plunged into World War II, proving to the world that collective security is a better response to aggression. Hitler’s aggression was the main reason why Allied powers felt the need to appease. In 1930, after the Reichstag fire, Adolf Hitler rose to power because he was appointed
If you have ever heard of World War Two then you would know that it developed around Adolf Hitler, Germany's dictator basically hunting down Jews. At first Hitler deprived the Jews of their many rights including their citizenship in Germany, Hitler banded marriages between other Germans and Jews, he even went as far as banning them from voting or holding a public office. But that’s not all he also banned them from owning businesses, by the time Hitler was done banning them from their source of income he ordered the Nazis to burn and destroy Jewish shops and worship centers. Things only went downhill from there soon Hitler made concentration camps, concentration camps where basically large prisons, that derived slow death to any Jews that arrived
What effect did the Holocaust have on the beginning of World War 2? The Holocaust is the time were the Nazis (German militia) slaughtered millions of Jews. Most people think that the Holocaust was the reason that WWII started. You are going to read the evidence that proves that the Holocaust was not the cause of World War 2.
In conclusion the holocaust is a really big moment in history that shows us the need of
World war two you know what happened during but what about after it ended? Ware starts and end but stuff also happens after wars? The end of World War II changed the world because the United Nations was created, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was written, and a major genocide was stopped. The things that happened was The Creation of the United Nations and Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The United Nations are a group of nations that came together to keep countries from becoming too powerful.
The second World War, which lasted from 1939 to 1945, was the deadliest global conflict in history, involving most of the world and dividing it into two opposing military alliances; the Allies and Axis Powers. Japan, as a part of the Axis Alliance with Italy and Germany, played a big role in the war as their attack on Pearl Harbor was followed by the first and only Nuclear attack in history when the U.S. dropped the bombs “Little Boy” and “Fat Man” on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The entire world was shook by the death toll claimed during the war and Japan as a country suffered from wide spread destruction, trauma and radiation. Of course such a historical event has a great impact on the world and its politics. The war changed how
Definition of statelessness Having a nationality and belonging to a specific country is a natural part of our lives and our communities.
