So after the battle of Saratoga, when we won the battle of Saratoga the French was the American victory and decided to become allies with us. So the french helped us by helping us defeat them, take over the Chesapeake bay, and surround Yorktown. Some other people that helped the colonists were the Native Americans they helped us by helping heal the Soldiers and also some played as cooks but very little.
