James Jenkins, who led the save-the-Graystone movement, continued to build the Graystone International Jazz Museum. Among its holdings are a guitar once owned by Dave Wilborn of the Cotton Pickers and a trumpet owned by Cotton Pickers trumpeter Charles Victor Moore, both at left. The museum also has a piano once owned by John Coltrane, drums of swing era titan J.C. Heard and Graystone Ballroom memorabilia. Jenkins ran the museum until his death in 1994. | ||
