In the mid-eighteenth century, many European powers wanted to expand their influence to other parts of Europe and to the rest of the world and also to gain new territories. To accomplish this, they had to overcome many issues. They had to make alliances with the natives of the new land, cooperate in trade with other powers, overcome diplomatic negotiation, and lastly make peace agreements. World History 1600-1650 The world has been in a huge number of wars. Wars could be deadly. Between the years of 1600-1650 , there were a lot of wars, religious conflicts and science developments. One of the most famous wars in this time was the war which started in 1600 and lasted around 30 years and it´s called ¨The Thirty Years War¨. The thirty years war was a series of brutal , bloody , and a very deadly wars that took place mostly in Central Europe and it is seen as one of longest and most destructive conflicts in European history.
Europe takes advantage of Africa. The main driving forces behind European Imperialism consisted of three fundamental factors which included Political, Technological, and Economic. The way these three components are involved in the driving force because they all helped shape and push everything together to make more efficient. The first component that helped take over land or “European Imperialism” was Technological power.
This was accomplished through the Columbian Exchange, which is the network of migration and trade within the Atlantic Ocean. Next, European empires in the Americas as well as Russian, Chinese, Mughal, and Ottoman empires are different in their development because Europe had a greater impact on the native peoples that they integrated into their growing empires. When the Europeans arrived in the Americas, they brought a very tiny weapon with them. They brought disease. Small pox, measles, and malaria and just a few of the old world diseases that devastated native populations.

These three areas were connected through trading and the need for colonization. The Europeans were mostly dominant during this time period with both trading and colonization. The Atlantic World eventually lead to changes and continuities in social conditions.
Since the discovery of luxurious non-European goods and their prosperous economic nature, European intervention outside of Europe steadily increased focused by the motives of “god, glory, and gold.” European systematically discovered each inch of the globe and thus created inevitable circumstances of interaction between Europeans and non-Europeans lasting from late 1700s to early 1900s. European attitudes toward this interaction greatly varied due to intellectual and cultural European trends that greatly altered their own point of view. Early interactions were guided by widely accepted Enlightenment ideals that expected individualism and tolerable thus creating an attitude of awe and respect from the Europeans to non-Europeans.
Colonialism and Imperialism affected our world both positively and negatively. On one hand, Imperialism has often been linked with racial segregation, manipulation, and hardship. On the other, it has been said that many colonial powers contributed much in terms of schools, roads, railways, and much more. Whether this time period was constructive or harmful, it has played a large part in shaping our lives today. European Imperialism started long before the 1800’s.
The Atlantic world from 1492 to 1750 experienced economic and social transformations due to new contacts among the major continents that bordered the Atlantic Ocean. Western Europe, Africa, and the Americas saw dramatic economic and social changes caused by the slave trade, the increase of trade, and the Europeans “discovery” of America. The Atlantic world experienced great Economic changes created by the new global connections established between continents that allowed the expansion of trades, slave trades, and the claiming of land. Due to the new found connections the participants of trade all over the world brought home new goods, mainly from Europe, and materials previously never seen before or goods they were in need of.
The only thing Europeans loved more than political power was increasing their trade. In the 1800’s European nations had a desire to get a lead to widespread imperialism in Africa. With the end of slavery in 1833, European interest in Africa shifted to seizing colonies. King Leopold of Belgium acquired a private country in Africa that was 95 times bigger than Belgium and his purpose was to make money by taking out ivory and rubber.
