How do you prefer to travel? When transportation was the first heard of, many people traveled by horse and buggy. There were great strides in transportation during the 1920’s and 1930’s. There were five main models of transportation including automobiles, trains, ocean liners, public transportations, and airplanes. All of these transportations were used very much in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The meaning or definition of the word transportation is to get from one place to another. In the early 1920’s the street car was famous in every town. The street car was invented by “Bob Scanlor” in the late 1910’s, it wasn’t released until the 1920’s to be made. The streetcar was the most famous on the road at that time and age. Transportation back then and now are a lot different then it used to be. “Street cars” fort worth had one of the best streetcar systems in the United States. The first automobile cost only $4,000 when it was first produced in the 1920’s. Automobiles are a lot different from back then and now in 21 century. They earlier started to use steam power for trains and different stuff like that. The automobile wasn’t just for the wealthy everyone became accessible to the Model A that Henry Ford released in the 1920’s. The average cost of a car today is $25,000 on a car lot in the United States. The Model T was another good automobile made in the 1920’s by Henry Ford, he was the most successful company in the 1920’s and 1930’s.
