The 1920s-1930s are an important part of history. While many positive and negative things happened, the era greatly impacted inventions, more technology, and more freedom. During the 1920s-1930s there were a lot of cultural, inspirational, and political changes that shaped that decade and many more decades to come, whether you are talking about the stock market crash, the Great Depression, or the newfound freedom people were exploring with fashion, jazz, and political changes. The 1920s were an era of change, it focused on the new freedom that women and African Americans were exploring, and the changes they had to the fashion and musical industry, while also focusing on social and political changes. The more people embraced freedom, the more multiple cultures sprouted, the Jazz Age was a very important part of the Roaring 20s and was very important in the African American culture along with the Harlem Renaissance. The Harlem Renaissance and the Jazz Age brought notice and voices to the African American community, and Jazz that the community made, and greatly impacted the many eras to come, with Jazz being very important in music. With all the changes, they still had to deal with the political and social changes that happened, like the Red Scare. The Red Scare was a mass panic, and fear of communism. Many people believed that communism was going to take over, and many people feared immigrants, communists, socialists, and anarchist ideals. Many of those panics influenced the Palmer Raids, where they rounded up socialists, anarchists/communists, Italian, Eastern European, and Jewish immigrants and they would get rounded up and deported, causing the immigration rate to drop.
