The fashion trends of the 1960s and their transformation seemed to reflect the events that were occurring in the decade around the same time. Fashion progressively became uniform and harmonized with the transition from the beginning of the decade to the end. Both women and men’s fashion senses resembled their thoughts, feelings, and outlooks on what what happening around them. The early 60s fashion trends were still seemingly stuck in the 50s: conservative, moderate, and simple; following the rules and a general consensus in a way. The later 60s, however, were filled with color and brilliant garments, as people began to break away from the norm and create their own diversified identities.
