A utopian world for an idealistic person differs from another's foolproof world. A utopia is a desirable and perfect world in which everyone is happy. With the Ku Klux Klan, the group envisioned a world where whites were the only existing race. The KKK are an organization that originated from a “resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for blacks”(Fischer). With a multicultural world, it is ignorant to say that only one race should exist and the others to be eradicated. Philosophies like these are impossible to achieve and maintain. The KKK established their utopian beliefs while causing mass murders and destructions to any minority race. The harm created by the KKK, ultimately resulted into a dystopian world for every other race excluding white christians.

In the novel “1984”, George Orwell portrays what was supposed to be a utopian society. Most of the characters are oblivious to the detrimental control the government possesses on them. There are only two requirements to be in this group. All members must be white and christian. The utopia the Klan has in mind, “ is to help the White Anglo-Saxon Christian people thrive and be superior to all other races” (Michael Fisher). The “Grand/Imperial Wizard” (A&E Television Networks) or more commonly known to the public as the leader of the group, convince the masses by holding conventions or public marches and riots. The KKK appeal to “defenseless and frightened” (A&E Television Networks) white Americans who seek a place of sanctity in hopes of finally belonging somewhere.
