North Korea has been one of the world most control society. The world inside of north Korea is different form the world that surrounds them. North Korea is one the country controls the media, information and the military. North Korea now threaten other country especially the U.S. with its ICBM and wants to start a war. People of North Korea can’t do anything to stop their leader or go against his wish or they will be executed. North Korea has an iron grip on their people can be seen the ways none of the people are allowed to leave the country or visit other country. North Korea is almost same as Oceania in George Orwell’s 1984 where the party is supreme and there are no ways to oppose them. The first sentence Orwell's use to describe the days as "it was a bright gold day in April" (Orwell’s 1). This establishes the paradoxical nature that occurs throughout the rest of the novel. The party have many Ministry to control the people of Oceania one of the of ministry is the “Ministry of peace, which concerns itself with war” (Orwell’s 5). The words “peace” and “war” contradicted itself, they say without war there is no peace and we fight for peace of the world to protect people freedom. The people of Oceania don’t even have freedom, but they are always fighting. The party have many ways to control the people of Oceania. One of the ways they do that is saying “2+2=5” the reader of the books knows it not true. The people believe in the party and they think what they party say has to be true. One object that he uses it the telescreen. The telescreen is always “receive[ing] and transmit[ing] simultaneously” (Orwell 3). The government can see people watching the telescreen and know what the peoples of Oceania are doing all-time when at home. Winton talks about how the telescreen can pick up sound “above the level of a very low whisper, would be picked up by it” (Orwell 3). The telescreen can pick up the conversation the peoples of Oceania having and know if they are planning on rebelling against the party. The government of the 1984 have special kind of police known as the Thought police that deals with people having rebellious thought about the government. “Thought crime was not a thing that could be concealed forever” (Orwell 19). The people could not hide their thought about the party. The people could “dodge successfully for while” but “sooner or later” the thought police would get them, and they would be killed for they crime. The party have miss informed the people that “Oceania had never been in alliance with Eurasia” (Orwell 34). The fact the people of Oceania does even known who they are allies with and not is change the book or media to fit that fact.
