Is the 2081 movie more effective then the book?Both are very impactful emotional wise,and are very detailed in terms of making the watcher/reader feel what the characters are going through.What sets it apart though is the solutions in both. Did both have a relief effect on the watchers/readers?Unlike the book,the movie conveys hope more because of the message it sends in the end,and also because of the visual experience with the characters emotion. In the book the emotion is lacking cause that ending message that the movie has is not present.In the text it says,"She fired twice and the emperor and empress were dead before they hit the floor. That was very effective because of how Diana was exposed for what she had did,and how she looked very guilty doing it on camera.In the book,the only thing it says is,"She fired twice and the emperor and empress were dead before they hit the floor. That's when the television cube burned out." The book did not show any type of details to how Diana felt after killing someone on live television,revealing how biased her and her government are.The movie does way better by showing Diana's reaction,and also capturing how happy Harrison was before he got killed revealing the hope that he possibly gave others.That provides hope for the watchers cause it helps give a path to a future happy ending that the watcher can create in their mind due to that message,and also the assuring look Harrison gives off which tells us that his plan worked.It also supports Harrison being a protagonist because of his hero action,which makes him even more lovable to the watchers,providing even more emotion.He decided to step up for everyone,even if that meant losing his life for that possible freedom,which is more emotional on screen rather then how the book describes
