365 Retail Markets is the leading provider of self-checkout technology in the rapidly growing MicroMarket industry. Started in 2010, our solution began in a garage and quickly grew to several thousands of kiosks in just 3 years. 365 provides a complete turnkey solution for MicroMarket operators who replace and/or augment their existing vending machine business with this new trend. Our internet connection runs at 50 Mpbs, or megabits per second. This is a measure of data transfer speed; a megabit is equal to one million bits. These are related to but different than megabytes as mentioned above. “A bit is 1/8th of a byte, therefore if you have a 1 Mbps connection it should take 8 seconds to transfer a 1 MB file. This measurement refers to the speed as well as the bandwidth.” ("What Internet", 2014) Salesforce is accessed completely online for all employees, so having a fast and reliable internet connection is of utmost importance. We currently have 70 licensed end users that need to access Salesforce and we have to assume it will be simultaneously as a very large amount of our information is stored there. Our current network does seem to be handling the traffic well, as I have not heard of many complaints due to lagging or downtime. Cloud based computing has its benefits, particularly the lack of needing to print much. We do, however, have a Canon Color imageRUNNER C5185 printer for when a hard copy of something is needed. It enables simultaneous copying, printing, scanning, sending and faxing, and delivers output at speeds of up to 51 pages per minute both black and white, and color. The software can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection, even on a mobile device. Most users in our office use Windows 7 operating system and access Salesforce through their internet browser of choice. Salesforce is 100% customizable for the end user. Every aspect can be modified to best suit each company’s needs. Some things that can be done are custom fields, object, third party extension, your own workflows, or even the possibility to integrate your own apps or devices to auto-log things. For configuration, it can be a bit more complicated. Salesforce offers a sandbox, which gives you the ability to create multiple copies of your organization in separate environments for a variety of purposes, such as development, testing, and training, without compromising the data and applications in your Salesforce production organization.
