5 Best Hybrid Cars In this day in age one of the most important things is to decrease the carbon footprint you leave. One way of doing that is to invest in a hybrid vehicle. First of all, a person might ask why is it an investment? Most cars decrease as soon as you leave the lot. But by owning a hybrid vehicle you are getting a vehicle that not only uses gas but also electricity. There are also vehicles that only run on electricity. With the cost of gas so often fluctuating, a vehicle using only electricity would save a person hundreds of dollars. Created in 2003 and named after scientist Nikola Tesla, Tesla motors features and sell vehicles only powered by electricity or battery operated. The Model S is an all-electric flagship luxury sedan. This Model S has the quality of a thoroughbred and has the capability of one of the most thrilling and seasoned automobiles. The Model S offers a high-tech gadgetry and luxury interior treatments that challenge tenured players like Mercedes and BMW. If there were an eco-centric mold for any other electric cars out there, The Tesla Model S would break it. The Model S is not perfect. Model S is limited by range and charging time. These two things limit the appeal of the hybrid vehicles. The normal range for most hybrid is anywhere from 80-100 miles but the Model S tops out at 203 miles. Supercharger stations are placed along major highways, and while the network doesn't exactly cover the entire country yet, the Model S is made a much more versatile electric vehicle because of it. The Model S offers much more than amazing range, though. For the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive P85D, we achieved a zero to 60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, giving it the title of the quickest full-size luxury sedan we've ever tested.
