“No point in building a good house unless you put down the right foundation,” Jeannette Walls’ father used to say in regard to the “Glass Castle”, something he always desired to build. Some teens don’t have to wonder about where they’ll stay or if they’ll have a fresh meal, so they get comfortable and rely on their supporter. Jeannette comes from an alcoholic dad and an aspiring artist as a mom. Her parents relationship wasn’t always on the bright side. It seemed as though there was more fighting than loving.
