Ethics Personal Statement – FA16 BA 342 Patrick Quirk Introduction: Ethics is something that all people should hold as a core value. The stance chosen should agree with, disagree with, or modify the argument presented. However, it is not adequate to merely define a position. In ethical debate and philosophical thinking, one must always defend his or her claim. As a result, it was imperative for me to understand the importance of considering objectives and alternatives.

I have since developed myself in health and social care sector by training and updating my skills.

Because we work with a multitude people with interesting and diverse lives and backgrounds, and because we come in with our own baggage and experiences that influence how we act and react, we make split-second decisions all the time that can have profound effects on our work and our consumers. Having so many opportunities to look at my own actions, this particular assignment has been so rewarding and interesting for me. This is the first time in any of my assignments where I have been forced to look at how ethics is involved in our
As children, we were taught by our parents that it is wrong to lie, cheat, and steal. As we grow up and enter into the real world with some knowledge of right and wrong, we see, first hand, the importance of ethics as well as its complexity. The role of ethics in our society and in an individual’s life is very necessary because it has a large influence on today, as well as the future. We need to learn about good ethics because they guide our decisions, make us who we are, and determine our future.
