For my groups project, we focused on writing technology and its affect on the way that we communicate and get our message across to one another. For my audience and genre work, I wanted to focus even more on my topic and speak on the affect of writing technology such as the computer and the internets affect on how chefs may blog to get out their work and recipes to the public.
I chose to focus on young chef bloggers for my specific research because of my friends. I believe that this topic has exigence, a cause that someone may advocate, as well as Kairos, something that makes a topic relevant to individuals now. That was a big part of this project, as well as my 3 Way Presentation. I have found that many adults my age have grown to rely on the internet and social media for a number of things such as how we receive our news, weather and research. Platforms such as Snapchat and blogs, allow readers/viewers to not only get out their message, but to do so in a way that is fun/unique to that person. I chose A Couple Cooks Blog, because of their individualized approach to blogging. They use various methods in their blogging to get out their recipes and love for food to the audience. Professional shots of their food provide a visualization of how their recipes can look, if properly cooked. The use of a blog to reach the audience of young (18-22 year old) chefs who already partake in the use of blogs would be best since they are already familiar and comfortable with this platform. Many individuals my age are also constantly on the internet for reasons such as work and self enjoyment. I have found that myself along with friend my age, do not like to read long articles with very formal language, as we lose interest quickly. So to keep their interest, I made sure to make my blog post short and to the point, with appealing images and links for the readers to check out sites to support my claims.
The research that I have collected from the 3 Ways Presentation also helps to further the claims made in my blog post. I used two of my survey questions to show how individuals have become comfortable using platforms such as the computer, internet and its features to get out their thoughts. I thought that by using this same primary research that I utilized taken from actual Syracuse University students would allow them to trust my statements since they are individuals who are in the same age range as they
