Fara was speechless, shocked, confused, and utterly hopeless, all at the same time. She didn't have time to dwell on it for long, because she knew somehow that she needed to move. Slowly she regained mental consciousness and walked to her room. She grabbed her dropped backpack, longboard, and phone; placing an earbud in her ear once more, and picked a playlist that made her happy, as not to focus on the previous events of the day.
She packed all of her necessaries, then grabbed all of the money she could find, her hunting knife, food, and water that would last her a few days. Finally, she wrote down the address on a scrap piece of paper and put it in her jacket pocket, then double checked her backpack. Finally, she checked the time, which

She rode past the house, neighborhood, ruins, supermarket, and school. Going further along the road, she realized that there was hardly any movement in the town—no one walking on the road, getting to their jobs; no one out and about; and no others on their way to school.
Did she annihilate the entire town?
She put it out of her mind and continued on her journey. It only took nine more minutes of cruising to come upon the southern edge of town, where the it ended, but the road continued on for a hundred kilometers and more. She sighed and continued on her journey.
Since she had forced herself to forget what had happened, the ride was exhilarating. The road was still smooth, like tar was recently put on. The wind was cool and pleasant, like popsicles on a hot summer day. On her sides was the field, the wheat growing more sparsely and the heavenlies appearing more; they were also taking on a lapis lazuli color, and it seemed as if every petal contained its own galaxy of stars, with the anthers a dazzling supernova that resembled onyxes and peridots. The ride felt only a few minutes time, but in reality, five hours had passed, and the sun was setting on the horizon, splashing nature with hues of jasper and citrine. Fara looked at her own body, which was sun kissed a glowing

Midway, the power shut down and the house was pitch black. I dropped all of my stuff, I was afraid for some reason. I felt weird. I was afraid, scared. I moved backwards, and I shivered—really big, it was like the cold controlled me—" She stopped in her sentence, thinking about how she would give him the grave news. "My orange eye hurt so bad... I fell to the floor, I was really tired; then, I heard the floor of my house creak, and I knew someone else was inside other than me and my family.
"I turned on the lights, and looked around... I saw my family... They were dead," she said in between sobs. "And then I saw the girl from the school, the one who helped the guy attack me... I asked her why she killed them, and you know what she said? She said that I did it...!" She broke down even more, torn apart by having to relive the incident to tell him of it. "I can't stay!" she cried. "Everyone will think I killed them. The girl even said that I killed them!" Sobbing, she waited for consolation, but her mouth continued to ramble. "I can't stay, I can't stay!"
"Don't run away! Fara, don't run away," her friend begged. "I don't know what I was thinking when I gave you my address. I thought it would be better for you to mail me a letter or something, not run
