“A Jury of Her Peers” and “The Day My Father Tried to Kill Us” have several similarities and differences; one of the biggest similarities is that both stories have to do with trauma. “A Jury of Her Peers’” trauma derives from the murder of Mr. Wright but the main trauma comes from gender-specific ways of seeing the world shown through the wives and their husbands.
