The story “A Long Walk To Water” is about the factors Salva Dut used to survive during his incredible journey. Salva was on of the lost boys who had to walk tirelessly across the desert because of and attack on his village. Salva stayed at a few refugee camps in his life until he eventually got the chance to got to America. Salva had many survival factors too get him through his journey. The first survival factor salva had that helped him finish his journey is his hope to find his family. Salva has mentioned how his family has pushed him to continue going when he wanted to give up multiple times. In the text it says, “Each time Salva would think of his family and his village it would push him too keep moving one painful step at a time” This quote proves that the thought of his family pushes him to push through the painful journey that he has to go through to survive.
