Some people feel that it`s quite challenging locating differences between a written story and its film, though, however, some people find it considerably simple to detect differences between the pair. A Midsummer Nights Dream was undoubtedly great cinematic film made in 1999. However, the written play of A Midsummer Nights Dream was much more detailed and more informational. The differences I noticed were the following: The Indian boy and his role, the setting, characters and examples of similarities. First of all, the primary anomaly I noticed implies the Indian boy and his role during the piece. Within the play, Titania and Oberon were discussing much further regarding the Indian boy, whereby Oberon was intending on apprehending the Indian boy. Within the film, they did discuss the Indian boy, although it was discontinued after the confrontation between both Titania and Oberon and was never really brought up …show more content…
More specifically the fairies. Rather than the free-spirited lovers of life bestowed in the text, the fairies in the film are whimpering, frivolous, petulant party animals. This is strikingly true of Puck who has been converted from a boyish charmer into a rude, middle-aged lizard who revels in taking a leak in the forests after drinking too much wine. Thus changing the mood of the story and its perspective by the reader or viewer. Finally, the written play and the cinematic version of a Midsummer Nights Dream did have similarities, such as the main characters remain the same throughout the play. However, the film employs a number of additional characters in several scenes. Another similarity connecting the written piece and the film is love. Both in which combined humorous manner, twisted by the jealousy of Helena and Hermia and Titania and Oberon.
