Actor Matthew Underwood says, "Life is full of confusion. Confusion of love, passion, and romance. Confusion of family and friends. Confusion with life itself. What path we take, what turns we make. How we roll our dice," This idea of confusion is shown also in Northrop Frye's idea called the green world. The idea of the green would can be found in literature where the protagonist has problems before they enter “the green world”, but once in the world there is chaos and confusion. Once they exit the world they are not sure how, but their conflicts are solved. This feeling of being unsure is shown through the lovers and how they respond when Theseus asks them how they ended up in the woods. They respond by saying, “My lord, I shall reply amazèdly, / Half sleep, half awake. But as yet, I swear, / I cannot truly say how I came here,” (4.1.1704-1706). Through this quote Lysander is almost speaking for himself along with Hermia, Helena, and Demetrius by telling Theseus and everyone in his party that they are confused as to how they ended up here. They reveal also that somethings have changed since they entered the woods and somehow their problems have been solved. Demetrius reveals to Theseus and Hippolyta“But by some power it is-my love to Hermia, / Melted as the snow, seems to me now,” (4.1.1723-1724).
