In both Anthem and Fahrenheit 451 it is considered a sin to be too curious or too knowledgeable. In Anthem Equality 7-2521 is punished by his teachers for being too smart and for being curious about the things that he learns in his classes. He is even punished for being quicker at learning than the other students and for asking questions in class. Equality 7-2521 wishes he was not the way he was and wants to be more like some of his classmates who are not as smart and curious as he is.
Connections will help us extend beyond our usual comfort zone and provide tools to accomplish great things during our time at Utah State University. Just like Grua and his team had to try something that had never been done before, we too will have to try new things. We may feel intimidated going to class for the first time or timid to approach someone we would like to get to know. We will be pleased with our efforts when we have accomplished new and exciting things and we will be glad we invested the effort.

As a young girl, I had a genuine fascination with the makeup of the world we lived in. I wanted to know anything and everything there was to know about the world. I would consistently and sternly press on questions to the adults in my life. “How does a leaf grow? How many cells are on your tongue?
I live a life full of questioning and love for knowledge.
To begin, Albert Einstein once said, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” Curiosity, a desire to know or learn something, must exist in in this world in order for new things to be discovered. In the novel, Anthem, written by Ayn Rand, the male protagonist, Equality 7-2521, lives in a dystopian society in which everyone are forced to learn and think the way the World Council of Scholars want them to. The World Council of Scholars are the smartest people who dictate everything in this society.
The idea of discrimination is an odd one. A human being has to look at another human being who, in some way is a little bit different, and think “This person is of lesser value than me”. Despite how strange that may sound it has played a frightening role in the history of human beings. Most notable examples are Nazi Germany’s treatment of the Jewish during World War II and the treatment of black people in America throughout its history as a country.
The trip was four days of taking students to seven universities such as Stanford, UC Santa Cruz and UC Davis located in Northern California. My duties for planning the Northern California trip included reaching out and connecting with various universes and handling some of the finical cost in the form meetings that were held at the end of each day. Lastly, I assisted and presented a study strategies workshop and a transition into a four-year institution/pathway to graduate workshop for the primarily, though not exclusively for Puente students. Advising Puente Students Throughout my fieldwork experience I was given the opportunity to advise a diverse group of students who are transferring this semester.
When doing research on the school I was quick to grow fond of it and by what I have read about UNCW it is most defiantly where I trust I should be and is where I can see myself building a future and creating a life. The wide range of academics the school offers and the endless opportunities I will have are astounding. I have always been a person interested in travel and I have always liked an adventure and UNCW offers great international programs that can allow me to do that. I know UNCW, Wilmington is the best school for me and I see myself finding who I want to be and being able to become that person.
As I reflect on the MSW program at Sacramento State University, I am grateful for the experiences I was able to receive during my field work during both years in my MSW program. I am grateful for choosing a program that includes internship as part of the requirement. I truly believe that the field work we have been provided with has given us the opportunity to learn from our mistakes and learn what being a social worker really means. The most challenging thing for me during the MSW program was starting my second year placement. It was my first time working in a medical environment and I did not know what to expect.
The National Honor Society contains four qualities which encompasses it. These traits are scholarship, character, service, and leadership. These four pillars define the Honors Society and can also be used to portray myself. The quality of scholarship.
How do you distinguish the thinking differences between information seeking and inquisitiveness? Information seeking requires you to recognize, to search, to interpret and to analyze the data that you obtain. On the other hand, curiosity drives you to be inquisitive. It is more natural way of trying to find out of things that one doesn’t know. Ultimately, these both methods can help you obtain data

After many years of hard work and negativity directed at him, he finally became successful and famous for all his findings and intelligence. Albert Einstein was a very successful man for being inquisitive, intelligent, and devoted.
