The Romantic period was the result of socail and politcal stressors of the French revolution. Individuals during this time period was searching for an opportunity to break from the social normalities and create a sense of indivudlaity in all aspects of their life. In doing so, many art forms broke away from previous norms and became more realstic. In this specific time period, there was a signnifant emphasis placed on expression in all art forms. The artists, writers and composers of this specific period discovered inovative ways to portray various emotions, fanatasies, dreams, and deep cognitive thoughts.
