In the play "A Raisin in the Sun," by Lorraine Hansberry, Walter Lee Younger is one of the main characters. He's not just a brother or son, he's a dreamer with big hopes for his family. However, his journey is full of ups and downs, revealing a lot about who he is as a person. Walter Lee dreams of owning a liquor store. It's not just about making money; it's about breaking free from poverty and discrimination that are so present in his and his family's lives. He believes this store can give his family a better life. He says, "I want so many things that they are driving me kind of crazy..."(73) This shows how much he wants a better life for himself and his loved ones. Walter's dreams aren't selfish. He wants to lift his family up, too. He sees the liquor store as a way to provide for his son's future and give his family opportunities they've never had before. He passionately expresses, "I got me a dream... I'm going to take and build a [liquor] store on the moon.
